Or, The Tower of Babel, as it was originally known in Japan, where it stayed for nearly 40 years before finally releasing worldwide on Nintendo Switch Online.
Another good old game to give a try, probably scrolled past it on NSO without realizing it was another long overdue U.S debut. Will have to correct that. Also did not expect to run into Digital Devil Story in this post (side note you typoed it as Digital Devil Saga in a later mention, easy one to make), which makes me wonder if you know of a youtuber called Marsh. He does extensive videos about a lot of the early Megami Tensei games.
Thanks for catching that, my fingers went on autopilot there I guess.
I do not know Marsh, but my knowledge of gaming YouTubers is also lacking. I'd be interested in checking those out, though, because as popular as modern Megami Tensei et al are, the older ones are still kind of locked away despite their importance.
Having both Digital Devil Story and Digital Devil Saga in the same franchise was definitely asking for that slip up to happen and frequently. I like Marsh because his videos are basically him summing up his playthrough in detail, the 'experience' part of his video titles is accurate.
The videos are long but really do feel like playing the game second hand, inspired me to try something similar. I've been scared off from some of the old Megaten games by their old school dungeon crawling antics, but I do really want to play Last Bible III sometime thanks to Marsh.
