Didn't know about the fourth game's announcement, that's exciting. The current licensing hell situation of the series is sad to me, really got the short end of the stick. Dungeon crawlers in particular seem prone to getting overtaken by their spin-offs I guess, like SMT and Persona.
At least it feels like things are coming together in terms of the licensing parties working together now. Compile Heart's new president is a former Compile dev who worked at Capcom for a while and has been around the industry, so I took this news for Madou Monogatari 4 (as well as a new shooter from M2!) as evidence that maybe Compile Heart is going to try to be a bit more Compile-like in the future, instead of "just" doing the dungeon crawler/super niche thing.
